Base Assets
For base assets, I worked on creating an art style thats cohesive but simple. I think the rough and fuzzy edges are charming and help keep everything easy on the eyes and fun. The lineless style is something I always wanted to implement in a game so I'm glad to have gotten the chance to.
For the first burst of assets, I drew in a mountain for the background and created the player to walk around and a separate arm asset so that it could move freely and follow the mouse accurately. This is so the gun will can point in the direction it will shoot the projectile. At this point, I do have the beginnings of platforms started, but haven't gotten the chance to place them into the level.
After this play test, I still needed to move and add some platforms so that an area in the bottom of the mountain would be less empty and there is more of an exploration aspect. The level still looks pretty empty, but getting this base helped to set the color scheme and help with designing and creating the rest of the assets. I think the artstyle was taken well
